Join the Austin EcoNetwork team as an Environmental Research Intern! The Austin EcoNetwork is an environmental news site based in Austin, Texas and we need your help in creating quality, fact-based journalism.
This will not be a busywork kind of internship. AEN’s Environmental Research Intern will have the opportunity to jump right into the action, researching information about a variety of different environmental issues, as well as assembling charts, graphs, and infographics.
The hours are flexible and enthusiasm is a must.
Responsibilities will include:
- Helping to conduct research to support stories or projects the Austin EcoNetwork is currently working on. This will include research on everything from water quality to renewable energy.
- Helping to assemble that research in a way that is clear, simple, and easy-to-understand
- Brainstorming ideas for new research topics and other innovative ideas to share information about local environmental issues
Who should apply:
- Environmental Studies, Sustainability Studies, Journalism, and Communications majors with strong research skills and a love of the environment
- Creative individuals who are self-starters and are ready to put their passion behind an exciting project
