The Briscoe Center is a leading history research center that collects, preserves, and make available documentary and material culture evidence encompassing key themes in Texas and U.S. history. http://www.cah.utexas.edu/index.php
The intern will assist with the care and management of the Briscoe Center‘s material culture collections. Under the supervision of the Associate Director for Material Culture, the intern will gain a range of curatorial experiences, including cataloging and documentation, photographing, housing, and storage for a wide variety of historic artifacts. A strong focus will be the textile collections of historic clothing, quilts, and woven coverlets.

Position requirements:
- Passion for museums, history, material culture (3-D historical objects)
- Coursework in the Humanities, Fine Arts, Museum Studies, or Social Sciences.
- Ability to manage projects using relational database programs.
- Excellent time management skills
