Impact Corps, a program of The Impact Factory, pairs UT student teams with community organizations and social enterprises. Students help partners address a challenge, while gaining skills, real-world experience and mentorship from professionals. Impact Corps is open to any UT Austin sophomore, junior or senior or UT Austin graduate student. This is hybrid position.
2. Any graduate student or undergraduate student in their sophomore to senior year at UT Austin may apply to join Impact Corps, ranking project preferences
3. The Impact Factory selects and pairs clients with student-teams with 2-5 members for a project lasting 1 or 2 semesters. Students began working with partners during the Fall 2023 semester. New students will be joining existing teams to work on the second phase of the team’s project in the Spring.
4. The Impact Factory pairs student-teams with an advisor and student-teams, advisors and community partners develop a scope of work
6. Students are asked to take Impact Corps for independent study course credit (1 credit pass/fail each semester) through the LBJ School of Public Affairs if your college allows this. If that does not work for you, it can be an extra-curricular activity only.
