Internship Start/End Dates: Flexible (Fall, Spring, Summer Semesters)
Compensation: Unpaid
Description:
The Travis County District Court has been a Child Welfare Model Court since 2008. This Judge leads the child welfare docket and the Model Court. This Judge also assists with the family law and general civil dockets as well.
The Judicial Intern will assist with research projects, preparation of court orders, and Model Court initiatives. The Judicial Intern will have many opportunities to be involved with the court process and learn about the problem-solving collaborative work of our court in addition to management of child welfare law, family law, and general civil dockets.
*Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a criminal background check by the County.
* Interest in child welfare law, family law, and/or general civil law is highly preferred.
