Internships with Rainforest Partnership

Rainforest Partnership’s mission is to partner with people who live in and around tropical rainforests to develop environmentally sustainable economies to protect and regenerate their forests. RP is an organization that uses a bottom-up approach and actively seeks to receive and incorporate the advice and input from all RP team members wherever they are. We are not about exclusive ownership, but about creating partnerships, leveraging resources and forwarding our collective vision and mission through collaboration with our ever-expanding circle of the RP Team. Currently we are seeking volunteers or interns with experience in the following areas:

  • Fundraising and donor support
  • Grant writing
  • Salesforce CRM, database management, and data entry
  • Website management
  • Writing blogs
  • Administrative operations
  • Event management and catering
  • Graphic Design
  • Volunteer coordination

Colorado River Alliance Internships

The Colorado River Alliance has internships available for the fall, spring and summer terms. Internships are unpaid but are available for academic credit. Interns are expected to commit at least 15 hours a week. For grant writing or graphic design internships, be prepared to submit a portfolio or samples along with your resume and application. Interns needed Tuesday – Friday during regular business hours.

Environmental Education Interns
Educational Interns assist with the planning, development and management of student educational programs including field trips and classroom materials. Programs teach water conservation, geography and geology of the Colorado River in Texas, aspects of a healthy watershed and water quality assessment. Interns are instrumental in the development and implementation of new curriculum and programming.

Community & Special Events Interns
Participate in the CRA community events and fundraisers – including clean ups, river races, banquets, festivals, and speaking events. Help includes sponsorship solicitation and graphic design to creating decorations, event set up and more. The best part – most of these events occur in the evening or on the weekends – perfect for someone with a busy work schedule.

Qualifications: If you have a keen eye for detail, thrive on juggling multiple deadlines, love to plan, plan, plan and can take an idea and run with it, this might be the perfect internship for you! Please keep in mind that this internship will require you to be highly organized, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and have strong communication skills.

Marketing & Communications Interns
Marketing volunteers assist with all forms of communications and promotion including press releases, Facebook and Twitter, developing marketing collateral in cooperation with graphic designers, generating e-newsletter, maintaining website, and developing media lists and press kits.

Grant Writing Interns
Write and edit grant proposals, reports, and letters of inquiry, and research, organize, and analyze grant proposals.

Graphic Design Interns
Assist with communications and brand development. Produce high-quality print and electronic marketing materials for CRA. Materials include fliers, logo development, and event banners and invites. Great opportunity to build your portfolio.

Fundraising Interns
Assist in executing CRA’s fundraising plan including donor development and appreciation, special events, database management and grant writing.

EnviroMedia Spring Internships Available – Apply by 12/13

Internships are available at EnviroMedia Social Marketing for passionate, dependable students.

Interns at EnviroMedia gain hands-on experience and the opportunity to interact in all facets of the business. Working under the guidance of experienced professionals you will learn the skills needed to excel in an agency environment. Interested students should have an eager desire to learn and demonstrate strong organizational and writing skills.

The first day of internships for the spring 2014 semester is on January 13, and the last day of the internships is on May 2. There is a mandatory orientation on Friday, January 10, before the first day of class.

Interviews for the spring semester begin the first week of November. The deadline for spring internship applications is December 13.
