Spring 2024 Internship with Wye River Group

Wye River group is seeking interns to work with them on timely social and public policy issues, such as substance use (SU), mental health, (MH) public health (PH), life sciences and health technology. Ideally the student(s) would have some familiarity in one or more of these areas and a strong interest in learning how public policy works.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet health and health care influencers and gain insights about the challenges in SU, MH and PH application on individuals, families, and communities across Texas and how public policy is addressing those challenges.

The internship will start in late January 2024 and continue through June 2024 for the right candidate. The candidate(s) selected will research, write and report on contemporary policy issues.

The interns selected will learn how legislation is advanced, policy and legislative research tools, policy development, and writing a policy paper.

The interns will also have the opportunity to hear from insiders on the formal and informal processes that shape public policy, meet policy experts, and hear from thought leaders in these issue areas.

All work is remote and will require that you have a computer and telephone.

Kids Tooth Team Outreach – Spring Internship for BDP students

Organization: Kids Tooth Team Outreach

Title: Marketing Internship

Semester: Spring 2024

Kids Tooth Team Outreach is a non-profit organization that provides free dental care to children in underserved communities in Central Texas through their mobile clinic as a dental home. In this unpaid marketing internship, you will collaboratively lead the organization’s marketing initiatives and strategies such as non-profit networking and research, grant finding and writing, leading fundraising events, creating social media posts, and connecting with your current undergraduate community supervised by Co-Founder, Tim Otto.

This position offers practice of strong marketing skills in a non-profit setting with a specific focus in healthcare advocacy. Requires a 10-12 hr time commitment and self motivation to fulfill other BDP Connecting Experience requirements.

Non Profit Internship Fall 2023 with Ambassadors for Community Health

Summary:

During your time as Intern, you can expect to be exposed to all aspects of Non-profit Management including finance and accounting, marketing, donor, volunteer, and board relations, grant writing, fundraising, and program development and management. We look forward to helping you grow your skills in non-profit management during your internship.

 

Job Position Description:

Non-profit Management Intern will work on the following projects under the direction of the Executive Director. Flexible hours – approximately 10 hours a week.

  • Participate in grant mining
  • Help plan fundraisers
  • Program development
  • Communicate with the Board of Directors
  • Donor and Volunteer Relations
  • Newsletter creation
  • Brainstorming new initiatives
  • Learn non-profit accounting and financial management

 

The ideal candidate will have a desire to be in the non-profit industry upon graduation or plans on being in the healthcare field. Please note a background check, vaccinations, and drug test will be required as this internship is located inside a hospital.
