Part Time Evil Seeking Paid Summer Usability Testers

Part Time Evil is an Austin-based console game and app development firm that specializes in mobile apps, Unity development, VR/AR apps, activity tracker apps, and user engagement.

Part Time Evil is currently seeking part-time playtesters for the summer. No QA experience is required, jut an interest in testing games for usability. This is a paid opportunity. The office location is accessible via bus.

Raven + Lily, a socially-conscious lifestyle brand dedicated to empowering women through design, is seeking a summer Customer Service and Fulfillment Intern. This is an unpaid learning experience intended to help students gain valuable skills and insight into the world of a start-up ethical fashion brand.

Customer Service and Fulfillment Intern

  • Organizing inventory that is currently on the pull shelves
  • Creating correct SKU labels for bins and for individual products
  • Assisting in a rolling count of inventory weekly
  • Assisting the Fulfillment Associate when needed in packing and shipping orders
  • Assisting with receiving of inventory and quality control of our incoming shipments

Summer PR/Communications Internship with Komen Austin

PR/Communications Intern Reports to: Marketing & Communication Manager Position

Status: Intern (unpaid)

Time Commitment: 20 hours per week minimum (anytime between 9am-5pm M-F, two semester commitment is ideal)

Position Overview & Basic Function: The PR/Communications Intern will support our mission by developing stories, and emails to share our messaging through various media outlets. The position requires excellent writing skills and ability to effectively participate in the planning and implementation of various educational and fundraising campaigns. **Writing samples are required with application. Must include at minimum a Press Release and a News Story.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Develop stories, blogs, social media posts and emails to communicate messaging to 5-county service area

 Planning and implementation of PR and communication campaigns

 Coordination between multiple team members to deliver a consistent message

 Support and promote the following and others PR campaigns with hands-on contributions: o Spring – Pink! gala, Volunteer Appreciation Week, Minority Cancer Awareness Week, Community Partner Announcement o Fall – Race for the Cure, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hope for the Cure

 While this internship is heavily based on creative writing, the intern must also be able to analyze data to prove results. This will include creating media recaps and analyzing social media engagement.

 Other tasks as assigned

Required Knowledge & Skills:

 A love of writing and the discipline to edit using the AP Stylebook

 Knowledge of social media outlets including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube an Pinterest

o Intern will be asked to not only write & schedule content but also to analyze results

 Detail-oriented with strong project management skills

 Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills essential with both internal and external clients

 Efficient time management to meet deadlines

 Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced work environment

Other:

 Must be 18 years or older and currently enrolled or a graduate of a college or university

 Must have reliable transportation

 Offers are contingent upon background check

 Hours may vary from the standard 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. based on upcoming events

 Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus
