Texas Appleseed- Social Media Intern for Criminal Justice Project

 

MISSION STATEMENT: 

Texas Appleseed’s mission is to promote social, economic, and racial justice for all Texans by leveraging the skills and resources of volunteer lawyers, other professionals, and community partners to identify practical solutions to difficult, systemic problems.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with a small team and under the supervision of the Criminal Justice Social Media Strategist, the Criminal Justice Social Media Intern, will work with the project team to help create toolkits, generate content for websites, and assist in the rollout of media content in the works.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The social media intern will report directly to the Criminal Justice Social Media Strategist. This position is a hybrid position (part remote, part in-person) based out of Austin, TX. Undergraduate internships at Texas Appleseed pay $15hr and require at least 10 to 15 hours per week. This is a spring internship, with potential for renewal in the summer and fall.

Texas Appleseed- Social Media Spring/Summer Internship

Working under the supervision of the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Intern will work with the Communications team to help create visual assets and assist in the rollout of media content for project teams and other departments.

The social media intern will report directly to the Social Media Manager. This position is a hybrid position (part remote, part in-person) based out of Austin, TX. Undergraduate internships at Texas Appleseed pay $15 an hour and require at least 10 to 15 hours per week. This is a spring 2024 internship, with the potential for renewal in the summer and fall.

Summer 2024 Internship with Octaura

Positions & Roles

Option 1: A rotational program of all four arms of Octaura. This will allow you to delve into the intricacies and nuances of all the hats one might wear in a startup. You will complete at least two weeks with each group and learn what is required for the particular role through: – Assisting the department head – Working closely with associates – Interacting with clients

Option 2: Choose to specialize with any of the four arms of Octaura and work closely with that team all summer. In this scenario, gain actionable skills and lessons in the department and experience the life cycle of a particular project throughout the summer. – Work closely with the department head – Create relationships with the team

Location

This will be an in person internship located in New York City.
