Indeed Design Intern – Marketing

The Indeed marketing design team is looking for a summer intern! Indeed Design Interns are versatile, motivated individuals with strong visual design skills, knowledge of branding and an eagerness to learn. This position will report directly to the Senior Designers, but will also work closely with other members of the marketing team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Demonstrates a passion for design and is skilled in visual communication
  • Is aware of current design trends and has the judgement to know when adoption of these trends is appropriate (rather than fashionable)
  • Is comfortable providing simple, well-executed designs with great attention to detail
  • Demonstrates mastery of typography, color and page layout​s
  • Is able to work independently and as a team member

Requirements:

  • Full-time availability, 40 hours/week (June-August)
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Design portfolio/website and resume
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite—InDesign, Illustrator and  Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in print and digital design
  • Strong work ethic and willing to learn
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bonus: Familiarity with HTML/CSS, Javascript, and WordPress

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and presenting comps for internal projects
  • Assisting in production related tasks
  • Participating in Creative Team brainstorming sessions
  • Digital asset management

Summer Internships Available at the Texas Civil Rights Project

The mission of the Texas Civil Rights Project is to promote racial, social, and economic justice through community education and litigation. The organization strives to foster equality, secure justice, ensure diversity, and strengthen communities. Services include direct legal representation, community education, public awareness campaigns, education and advocacy on behalf of those who have historically been underserved or excluded from the justice system.

Summer Police Accountability Research Intern

*Job Description  : TCRP is seeking interns to investigate the use of surplus military equipment by police departments in Texas. Interns will research protocols established for the use of this equipment with an eye toward writing a report with model protocols.

Part- or full-time based on availability, for the duration of the summer.

*Job Qualifications  : Demonstrated initiative and experience conducting self-directed research. Willingness to reach out to various government officials for information.

Prison Litigation/Criminal Justice Reform Team Members

*Job Description  : The Texas Civil Rights Project and the Prison Justice League seek regular interns committed to social justice to assist with special projects and general operations of our organizations which focuses on representing indigent Texas prisoners whose civil rights have been violated.

We offer a range of opportunities that can be tailored to your specific interests and skill set. Some responsibilities may include screening inmate mail, corresponding with inmates, preparing open records requests, reviewing discovery documents, researching and writing about reform topics, public policy analysis, social media and communications, development, and other tasks as needed.

This position would be ideal for an undergraduate or recent graduate seeking exposure to the practice of law and interested in protecting human rights, or students who have an interest in working in the nonprofit sector after graduation.

UTLA Program Accepting Applications for Spring 2016

Apply for the Semester in Los Angeles (UTLA) program

The application for the Semester in Los Angeles program (for Spring 2016, Summer 2016 & Fall 2016) is available online. The program is open to all majors.

COURSES INCLUDE

• New Media and Emerging Entertainment

• How Hollywood Works: The Business of Show Business

• Inside the Music Industry

• The Creative Process of Film and TV

• Careers in Entertainment (fall and spring only)

• The Working Hollywood Writer (summer only)

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be currently enrolled degree-seeking students in good academic standing who will have (by the time of attendance):

• upper-division standing

• a minimum GPA of 2.25

• successful completion of 3 hours of coursework in Radio-Television-Film, or equivalent

An information session will be offered on Tuesday, April 21st @3:00PM in CMA 5.136. 

The deadline to apply for the Spring 2016 semester is Saturday, May 2nd, 2015.
