Finance Internship
The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Finance Interns and Fellows in our south Austin office. Candidates should be college students or recent graduates who are looking to gain political fundraising experience. This internship is the perfect preparation for joining a top campaign’s finance operation, issue organization, or state party.
All applicants should have a strong interest in helping turn this state #Back2Blue. Interns will work in a fast-paced environment and duties will include assisting staff with donor research, creating call sheets, fundraising calls, database management, and event planning/staffing. Strong applicants will be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Excel and Word knowledge required. NGP experience preferred but not required.

Political Internship
The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is looking for several interns to work within the political department to foster the growth of the next generation of campaign staff and leaders.
Political Interns will get hands on experiences working at TDP’s statewide headquarters located in Austin. This is not just another paper-pushing internship – you will play a role in our coordinated campaign effort to elect Democrats all up and down the ballot across the entire state of Texas. You will learn everything about a modern political campaign.
Interns will assist in supervising volunteers, executing our voter registration and ballot by mail initiative, data management, and field initiative. There will be opportunities to focus on specific projects you may have an interest in, such as African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Youth or LGBTQ outreach; include any interests you may have in your cover letter. We can easily work around school schedules.

Communications Internship
The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is looking for interns to work within the communications department to foster the growth of the next generation of campaign staff and leaders.
Communications Interns will get hands on experiences working at TDP’s statewide headquarters located in Austin. This is not a coffee-running internship – you will play a role in our communications strategy that helps elect Democrats all across the state of Texas. You will learn all about the behind the scenes work that goes into a candidate making a speech, debating an opponent, and the importance of building relationships with newspapers, radio and tv stations along the way.
Interns will assist in building and maintaining our press lists, drafting press releases, and will brainstorm ideas for how we can best amplify our candidates’ message. There will be opportunities to focus on projects for specific communities (i.e. African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American Pacific Islander, Youth or LGBTQ).

The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is looking for digital interns to build a strong Party presence online.
Digital specializes in online organizing, advocacy, fundraising, and communicating directly with the TDP’s long-time subscribers and newly recruited members. By using the TDP’s own website and email lists, as well as social media, the digital department advocates for Democratic principles in Texas. Internship will include producing blog posts, photos, graphics, and other multimedia; and learning about building and maintaining an online community.
Must have basic knowledge of HTML, Twitter, and Facebook. Some knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop prefered but not required.

Data Internship
Data Interns will work in HQ to acquire vital elections data statewide. They will work closely with the data team to ensure that all information collected is correct and compliant with the election code. Duties will include making phone calls, maintaining the information gathered and following up with all the county clerks. Data interns will be learning how to acquire and maintain election data in an efficient way thus helping to create the most accurate Get Out The Vote effort possible.
